EASY VIRTUE for Jessica Biel

Jessica BielJessica Biel is to lead the romantic comedy EASY VIRTUE, a brand new adaptation of the 1920’s Noel Coward play which is being setup at the London based Ealing Studio’s.

The play was first and last filmed on screen 80 years ago by the great Alfred Hitchcock, in what is generally agreed to be one of his ‘lesser’ silent films.

EASY VIRTUE will follow Biel as an American divorcee who moves to the South of France and marries a young Englishman (Ben Barnes, the young lead from STARDUST) on a complete spur of the moment. The comedy chronicles their return to England and their first meeting with his meetings, who are to be played by British vets Colin Firth and Kristen Scott Thomas.

Stephan Elliott, who directed the 1994 comedy/drama THE ADVENTURES OF PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESERT will helm the movie he co-wrote with newcomer Sheridan Jobbins, with principal photography to begin next week.

Biel and Barnes? The guy who failed to carry STARDUST and Biel who is only interesting when she takes off her clothes?

Good luck with that!
