He’s searched for the Ark of the Covenant, the Temple of Doom, the Holy Grail and the Crystal Skulls but now Harrison Ford is starting to feel his age and has turned to science - to find a cure to a rare genetic disorder.

The movie is Crowley (new title needed ASAP) and will be directed by comedic director Tom Vaughan (What Happens in Vegas, Starter for Ten). It’s setup a as a big budget feature at CBS Films as a priority project says Variety.

Film is based on the true story of John and Aileen Crowley, whose two children had a rare genetic disorder. Rather than give up hope that nothing could help his children, John Crowley found a researcher (Ford) with a potential cure. Ford also will executive produce the film.

Robert Nelson Jacobs (The Water Horse, Chocolat) wrote the screenplay, which was inspired by a Wall Street Journal article and subsequent book, “The Cure,” by Geeta Anand which you can find more details on HERE.

This isn’t the first movie we will see Ford in post-Indy IV. He next stars in Crossing Over, an ensemble movie about the struggle immigrants have in trying to make a life for themselves in L.A. which co-stars Sean Penn, Ray Liotta and Ashley Judd which is due out in August.
