DONNIE DARKO 2 goes straight to DVD!

S. DARKO, the DONNIE DARKO sequel that revolves around Darko’s little star and has none of the cast or crew of the original 2001 Richard Kelly cult classic… is heading straight to DVD.

To absolutely no-one’s surprise.

MGM Home Entertainment will release the film on April 28th according to I09 Cinema.

Starring Daveigh Chase (the now grown up girl who played creepy Samara in American version of THE RING), the movie picks up seven years after Donnie’s death where Samantha and her best friend Corey are plagued by bizarre visions on a road trip to L.A.

Is it going straight to DVD because it’s shit? Methinks so.

I gotta say, this was the strangest choice for a sequel I ever heard.
