Confirmation came this afternoon that THE IMAGINARIUM OF DOCTOR PARNASSUS has been shut down. According to US Magazine, crew working on the set in Vancouver have been sent home.
A source had this to say:
“I just got the call [Tuesday] saying everyone was being let go… We were supposed to start this weekend, but obviously they fired everyone today. They don’t know yet what they are doing with the footage that was already shot”
Heath Ledger’s death on Tuesday came during a week long break from filming. It is not known how much had been shot, but given that the first scenes were shot only last month, in London, it’s safe to say very little had been recorded. Producers are yet to release a statement regarding the future of the flick.
Meanwhile an autopsy on Heath Ledger was said to have proved ‘inconclusive’. The Medical Examiners Office said more tests were needed. Ellen Borakove, spokesperson for the M.E.O., said it could take up to 10 days to complete the investigation.
