Maybe I’ve been living under a rock the last couple of months, but this trailer is the first I’ve heard about Disturbia. The movie seems to be a modern day update of Alfred Hitchcock’s Rear Window, and you know what for 2/3rd’s of the trailer, it doesn’t look all that bad.
Starring the Transformers star Shia LaBeouf, Sarah Roemer, Carrie Anne-Moss and the awesome David Morse, Disturbia follows a guy under house arrest and confined by a prison tag who witnesses what looks to be a murder across the street. Just like in Rear Window, the guy can’t leave his apartment, and can only spy on the events whilst dragging all his friends to investigate whether a murder actually took place.

I can’t put my finger on why I enjoyed most of this trailer. By all rights, I should be ripping this movie apart, but there is something about it I quite like. You know, if your going to make a blatant remake of a classic film, then you have to modernize and update the story for modern day times, and that’s what this movie looks to have done very well.
Disturbia intrigues me greatly. The Movie comes out April 13th

THIS MOVIE LOOKS LIKE SHIT-COVERED ASS!!! First of all, “Rear Window” did not need to be updated or remade. Secondly, it doesn’t need to be remade with 20 year-old models. Thirdly, “Rear Window” dis not need to be remade!!!!! Oh, and fourthly: it doesn’t need to be remade with 20 year old models!!!!!
