David Fincher has kept his promise. The details of Zodiac’s region 1 release have been released online and it looks to be a must have to add to your DVD collection.
I liked the movie and I was really impressed by what Fincher brought to the film but I can’t love it. Zodiac was just a little too long with too much of the fat not cut out but still it’s an extraordinary film.
The details of the ‘Director’s Cut’ are below and it promises tons of interesting documentaries (which this film just demanded quite honestly) and two audio commentaries, one of which looks to be Fincher on his own which should be fun. The only bad thing is we have to wait until January for the release!
DVD Times give us this (they have no artwork yet)…
The director’s cut version of Zodiac arrives complete with bonus features (commentaries and multiple featurettes) as a two-disc set. Extras include:
Final details are still TBC and extras subject to change, but as you can see from the list it looks as though we can expect an even split between extras on the making of the film and extras on the actual Zodiac killer.

I’m really glad that there are a lot of extras. It’s what we wanna’ be director/writers need to actually learn without doing the nasty to get ahead. Plus, Fincher is very good and this should be interesting.
