Danny Elfman is scoring THE WOLF MAN!

Posted by Matt Holmes

Danny Elfman is composing The Wolf Man remake according to Harry Knowles who has heard the news directly from a Universal source.

Elfman, best known for his extensive collaboration with Tim Burton - will no doubt bring the same sense of atmosphere he brought to the horror Sleepy Hollow but slightly less Hammer Horror-ish.

More Universal horror-ish, but probably not as comical as Ed Wood or Mars Attacks! You get me?

Sleepy Hollow

Ed Wood

Elfman most recently composed the score for Hellboy II: The Golden Army (which I loved by the way and something similar would be awesome for The Wolf Man)…

The original Wolf Man soundtrack mixed horror, fantasy and romanticism though it’s probably not as fondly memorable as those of Frankenstein or Dracula

The Wolf Man remake opens April 3rd 2009.

  1. The Elfmeister’s score for Hellboy 2 sounds excellent, he is the Man!
I just thought when he didn’t do the score for Spider-man 3 you could tell straight away.
    I love this dudes music!

  2. Speaking of Hellboy, did anyone else notice the Olympic torch looked like Hellboy’s right hand?
