The Hollywood Reporter are telling us that Daniel Craig has left Fernando Meirelles’ next movie Blindness. There’s no word on why he has dropped out, but it’s said the hunt is already on for a new leading man.
Julianne Moore we believe, is still on board the project…
Adapted by Don McKellar from Nobel Prize winner Jose Saramago’s acclaimed novel, the story chronicles an epidemic of blindness that sweeps through an unnamed contemporary city and pushes society to the brink of breakdown.
It may just be the case that Craig has loaded himself up with so many projects, that one of them had to go. He’s got no less than 5 movies coming out over the next 18 months including a Bond movie, a big fantasy epic and a big sci-fi movie.
Now that’s what you call a “movie star”.

This saddens me a bit because I’d love to see this movie turn out well but hopefully they can find someone with equal talent to replace him.
