Disney/Pixar are doing a much better job with making us wanna see Wall-E than they ever did with last year’s Ratatouille.
Wall-E is of course a robot who is trying to find meaning to his life when everyone else on the planet is long since dead and the simple plot and design for te character has captured the hearts and imaginations of many adult bloggers across the web, getting them just as excited for this movie as they are for flicks like The Dark Knight and Iron Man.
This movie is just gonna be so huge. In a summer that’s filled with remakes, sequels and movies based on books… Wall-E is just about the only original tale out there and with Pixar’s awesome track record, I will be shocked if this is not on my top ten films of the year list come December time.
He’s just so cute isn’t he…

It’s quite depressing though, Matt. For a children’s movie, with no other beings around, the concept of being alone isn’t that all warm and nice to think about, and may negatively sway some people out there.
I mean you got this cute little robot thing that’s all alone in space, doing everything by himself. It’s depressing.
I agree with ALK, this movie does sound a bit sad. Hope its not gonna make me blub like Silent Running did! And doesn’t he look a bit too much like Johnny No.5? Please tell me they haven’t dragged Steve Guttenberg out of obscurity as well!
