Alcon Entertainment have bought the film rights to the graphic novel Cryptozoo Crew with hot up and coming screenwriter Joe Gazzam hired to adapt.

In the past year Gazzam has seen his scripts for Sacred Straight (picked up by John Carpenter and Nicolas Cage) and the remake of 21 Jump Street picked up by studio’s.

“Cryptozoo” follows a member of a secret organization charged with protecting the identity of strange and rare animals classified as Cryptids who teams with a beautiful doctor in a quest to protect a one-of-a-kind species from falling into the wrong hands.

If the movie carries “Skunk Apes” and “The Improbable Snowman” then you can damn sure count me in!

SWEET! I actually am an assistant at Sony and just read Gazzam’s 21 Jump Street script — was the best script I’ve read in over a year. Add that to the fact that I LOVE Cryptozoology and I am totally psyched!!!!!

About time the made a movie about Cryptozoology.
