Crowe “disgusted” by Irwin biopic rumours

It probably doesn’t take a lot to piss Russell Crowe off these days and that’s just what us here in Internet land have done. In an interview with Coming Soon, he has expressed his disgust at the rumours he is set to play Steve Irwin in a biopic movie about the Crocodile Hunter’s life.
Here is what he had to say…
“There’s no truth to that whatsoever,” Crowe said adamantly. “That’s one of those appalling pieces of sh*t that come out of the press. While my friend’s body is still warm, I’m being accused of doing commerce over his grave, and it absolutely disgusts me.”
So there you have it, Crowe won’t be playing Irwin in the near future. If you read the whole interview, he goes on to mention that he believes there should be a Irwin biopic picture in the future but not now at this moment as it’s way to soon.
