samuel l jacksonSamuel L. Jackson’s production company Uppity Films has struck a deal with New Line and the first project from the new partnership will be THE MAN THAT ROCKS THE CRADLE, with Jackson signed on to star.

From Variety

Bought as a spec script by Josh Cagan and based on a story by Cagan and Rob McKittrick, “Man That Rocks the Cradle” revolves around an overworked husband and father of four who decides the solution to all his problems is a live-in nanny. Jackson will play the nanny, Marion Delacroix, a reputed “kid whisperer” from the South.

Samuel L. just never stops working. He has nine films attached to his name from 2006 to 2007 and whilst it’s great to see an actor have such more enthusiasm still for acting… it’s a shame that his face can too often be seen on the cover of dvd’s in the bargain bin at entertainment stores.

The image of Jackson playing a nanny doesn’t leave me with much hope that this film will be able to stay away from said bin.
