Could you keep a lottery win secret?

tickets.jpgIt’s often nice to wonder what you would do if you were fortunate enough to scoop a big lottery win. We would all probably buy a new house, go on holiday, buy a new car, shit load of dvds, etc but what about your friends, family and co-workers?

It’s nice to think that they would stay loyal to us and wouldn’t change and we could still hang out regularly, just like before. The chances are things would chance unfortunately, especially if you live in a small town like I do, you would have to move away because you would become the talk of the place.

You could always try and keep it secret, but it probably wouldn’t last long, these things rarely do. This is the subject that a new script picked up by Rogue Pictures deals with…

Simply called Lottery Ticket, the movie is an urban drama based around an “18-year-old living in the projects who must keep his winning lottery ticket a secret over a three day weekend”.

Abdul Williams, the writer of the project tells us the image he has of the lottery ticket mirrors that of the one ring from Lord of the Rings…

“you have something so valuable you can’t let it off your person, but in a way it’s almost a burden.”

Music director Erik White will be making his feature debut with the flick.

Cool idea for a movie, and although it’s likely to be very low budget with no stars, it’s subject matter is very interesting to most of us.

I can guarantee we have all dreamed about winning the lottery at some point in our lives but I think eventually…. it would cause you more problems than it would solve any and if your lucky, your life will be fairly back to normal after 3 years.
