Awesome character actor Paddy Considine won’t be Jigsaw in the Punisher 2 according to the man himself who leaked the news on his blog/forum. Ya know, if it was any other movie, I would think that the following comments were probably just him sounding bitter over the whole thing but then you remember it is The Punisher 2, and he’s probably being sincere after all…
It all means jack anyway. The original choice for Jigsaw dropped out, then they offerered it to me. I’m very dubious because the other films looked shite. Then whoever is responsible said that their original choice has decided to do it, therefore pulling my offer. The only blessing was that I didn’t waste an hour of my life reading the script. That be the way of the film world. And for the record, I thought GREEN STREET was a gigantic mess. Lucky escape.
Well whoever they have gone for, let’s hope it’s more inspired than the casting of Ray Stevenson as Frank Castle. Ok, this big muscle man might do a job but does he have the intensity of Thomas Jane?
The Punisher: War Zone has trouble written all over it. I’m begging to see who there was first choice is on this one because they have just lost out on a great actor here.

Have to admire Considine for being honset he has more and less said that the script for this movie is shit and does not rate the diector either. Its a good job he is so talented and probably not short of offers because this sort of thing probably would not go down well. So glad he is not in this film.
My choice for Punisher would have been Johnny Messner. He was so damned intense as the villain in Running Scared, he’s built like a Mack truck AND he looks exactly like Frank Castle in the comic books. Oh, and did I mention he’s American too?
Nice to see Considine argees that Green Streets was a mess. Believe it or not Lexi Alexander thinks it was smarter and deeper than Fight Club. The more I learn of this flick the more sickened I become.
Green Street smarter and deeper than Fight Club??!?
Funniest thing I’ve heard all week.
Here’s where Lexi Alexander craps on Fight Club from IGN.com http://movies.ign.com/articles/655/655067p1.html When asked, “Do you think it’s [Green Street Hooligans] Fight Clubish?”
Lexi: “I don’t like that comparison personally because I felt Fight Club had no meaning and no message other than that we’re becoming a materialistic generation. I just felt that my film was supposed to have a bigger meaning than just a bunch of guys hitting their heads. It’s more about why do young men feel tribal and have certain tribal instincts? Why do they turn to gangs? Why do they turn to violence? It has a little bit of a deeper moral and message to it than Fight Club has.”
There you have it folks, Fight Club had no meaning and no message and her fine film was so much deeper. Yeah, about as deep as a birdbath!
thay are fucking dumb for putting a diffrent actor in the new movie that is really going to fuck wit the mony there going to mack thats like putting a new batt man in the new 1 commin out and shit booooo dumb ass ppl bowl looks dumb as shit to have yous seen the tralier
