Emily Blunt has confirmed to MTV out at Sundance that she will indeed be the object of Benicio Del Toro’s affection in the Universal horror remake of THE WOLF MAN, something which we said was 99% confirmed last month.
You can see a video of her confirming the part HERE but sadly if your anywhere outside of America you can’t view it.
THE WOLF MAN is one of my absolute favourite non-blockbuster movies in production right now which might shock some of you considering it’s a remake of a truly classic movie but when there’s an actor like Benicio Del Toro who has spent his whole life admiring and at times imitating the great Lon Chaney Jr. and has become an actor who is so damn frikkin’ perfect for the part… how can you not be excited for this?
Then there’s Anthony Hopkins and now the talented Emily Blunt. The next task is to cast Gary Oldman for the small but critical part of Bela and we are good to go here!
Mark Romanek (in his first movie since the brilliant ONE HOUR PHOTO) directs the picture from an Andrew Kevin Walker script (SE7EN, SLEEPY HOLLOW), with shooting to begin next month. Can you tell I’m excited?
