Capcom’s little known video game Clock Tower was picked up for a movie adaptation last summer by the Weinstein Company but no movement had been made on the feature until today.

Shock Till You Drop say that Eric Valette (One Missed Call) has been hired to direct an adaptation of the video game for Warner Brothers from a script by Eric Poppen (Borderland).

In the film, a young woman in a mental hosptial seeks the help of an acclaimed psychiatrist. With his help, she digs deeper into her horrifying affliction (she has terrifying visions) and discovers that she may be haunted by an ancient ghost connected to her family’s horrifying past.

I love horror, especially original one’s and I guess it’s nice to see a movie in the genre that’s not a sequel or remake, etc.

Never played the game and One Missed Call is still some while away from being released so I haven’t seen anything from Valette either.

We will have to wait and see on this one. Love the title though, anything with the name TOWER (The Two Towers, The Dark Tower) just sounds so epic and bold to me.

  1. This is going to be horrible, I wish Jorge Olguin didn’t leave. The plot has absolutely NOTHING to do with the game(s). There are actually four games in total, the first one only being released in Japan about 10 years ago, and this looks so stupid. *Cries*
