Although there was some reports last year that Jackie Chan was done with Hollywood and well Chris “Paycheck” Tucker hasn’t made two movies in succession since 1997 but the Rush Hour duo have incredibly agreed to team up for a brand new movie together.
Let’s just be thankful it’s not Rush Hour 4...
“It’s like two days ago when Chris Tucker called me,” the martial arts legend said Saturday. “We sat down and decided we want to do another movie. Not a ‘Rush Hour’ — something new.”
“We’ve just agreed to do it,” he added. “Now we’re looking for the writer.”
I have yet to see Rush Hour 3 but are we really desperate to see these two guys go at it again?
Why not go all the way and hire Brett Ratner to direct?

I love the Rush Hour series, but was left deflated by film three where it was too much Tucker gabber and too little Chan chop-socky. Another Rush Hour would be a disaster but I won;t close my mind to another film based around what can be a pretty dynamic combo.
On the other hand, I was hoping that Jackie had ditched Hollywood. Sadly, seeing him in the a Woolworth’s advert (possibly the most cringe-worthy commercial break experience of my life) I’m not sure that a return to the golden age is possible. He’s broken almost every bone in his body; has our Jackie now totally broken his credibility as well?
