Cheerleader from Heroes gets typecast!

Ultra hot and sadly way too young t.v. actress Hayden Panettiere has been cast as a cheerleader in the comedy I LOVE YOU, BETH COOPER setup over at Fox Atomic.

It’s a role she knows so well from her two seasons on Heroes that she may even be allowed to bring her own costume…

A spring start is set for the movie that originated from the mind of Larry Doyle (The Simpsons) and will see the Heroes actress play the titular character of a cheerleader who is the object of a valedictorian obsession. They set off on adventure when he proclaims his love for her at graduation.

Directing and production the feature will be Chris Columbus, best known recently for the first two HARRY POTTER movies but we shouldn’t forget that he made his name in child comedies with HOME ALONE and then later with MRS. DOUBTFIRE.

He is a steady hand at the helm and a good actor’s director who should help Panettiere make the transition from supporting actress, to leading lady.

  1. Panettiere has got real acting capability and there’s more to her than a cheerleading outfit - something she showed on Heroes. It’d be a shame if she’s typecast for the rest of her career. Let’s hope she picks the right projects and makes a succesful transition to leading woman.
