Casey Affleck likes THE KIND ONE

Following on from his two magnificent performances in 2007, Casey Affleck has been cast to lead THE KIND ONE… a film noir from the producers of GONE BABY GONE and based on a recently published novel by Tom Epperson.
The project is currently strike locked but Epperson, the screenwriter of THE GIFT and ONE FALSE MOVE will put pen to paper on adapting his novel once an agreement with the WGA is reached.
Set in L.A. in the 1930’s, Affleck will play an amnesiac who works from the sadistic killer and mobster “The Kind One”, where he ends up being seduced and falls in love with the thug’s girlfriend, probably a hot femme fatale vixen.
Sounds awesome to me, period film noir is one of my absolute favourite genres. Affleck has really impressed me this year and his rather withdrawn personality should make him a great noir anti-hero.
Maybe Ben Affleck could direct this too?
