Josh Brolin who is to appear in the upcoming Grind House movie as Dr. Block has signed on to join the cast of Ridley Scott’s American Gangster. He joins an already impressive line up including oscar winners Russell Crowe and Denzel Washington.

“The story concerns Harlem drug kingpin Frank Lucas (Washington), who smuggled heroin in the body bags of U.S. soldiers slain in Vietnam. Brolin plays Det. Trupo, a crooked NYPD cop who piggybacks on the Lucas investigation conducted by Det. Ritchie Roberts (Crowe)”.
Hopefully Ridley Scott can get back on form after the dreadful Kingdom of Heaven last year. Scott’s next movie A Good Year opens in November, also starring Russell Crowe.
