Obsessed With Film

Bradley Cooper who you will have seen as the lead actor trying to survive against the butchering Vinnie Jones in the trailer for THE MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN has signed up for a role in YES MAN, the Warner Brothers comedy based on Danny Wallaces’ writings.

Cooper will play the best friend to Jim Carrey, a guy who decides to say yes to everything, to see where life will take him. This is of course the movie which we believe will see Carrey take a % deal of the gross and no money up front for his role, and if the film flops - there will be little money for him and formerly one of Hollywood’s highest paid actors will effectively have worked for free.

At least, that’s if you believe everything you read on the web.

I don’t think Carrey’s post-ETERNAL SUNSHINE career has quite gone the way he intended unfortunately. I would love to see him work in some dramatic flicks again to get him out of this terrible glut he is in, and not remaking LIAR LIAR as this sounds like it is.

Peyton Reed, the director of the pretty decent THE BREAK-UP will helm, with production set to begin next month.
