BOOGEYMAN writers on POLTERGEIST remake

Those of you who had some kind of misplaced hope that the Poltergeist remake would actually be something worth watching, you should probably read this statement below…

MGM have hired Juliet Snowden and Stiles White to write the new take on the Tobe Hooper/Steven Spielberg classic spook thriller of the 1980’s. And what have they got on their CV to deserve this gig… well the absolutely dreadful Boogeyman movie, the worst film I saw in 2006.

They also just happened to write Knowing, that hideous looking movie that Alex Proyas can’t even make look good with Nicolas Cage due out in March and they have also helped put together the much delayed Birds remake.

Now the biggest challenge facing the Poltergeist remake is not whether it will be watchable (which it won’t be now) but whether it actually achieves a theatrical release.

  1. Bah, another bunch of hacks getting their hooks into a classic cult film…

Have these people never heard of the Poltergeist curse though? Well, when they all start dying in peculiar circumstances, they can’t say that we didn’t warn them…
