The Scorpion King: Rise of the Akkadian since day one has had the problem of finding a younger version of The Rock. I mean the The Rock is one of a kind, these guys with amazing psychical attributes who can actually act don’t come around very often.
Moviehole report that Universal have gone for a Power Ranger. His name is Michael Copon and he was at one time the blue one in Power Rangers Time Force and has since found himself in recurring roles on One Tree Hill and Beyond the Break.
Basically he’s some dude we don’t know…
Also in the movie is fighter Randy Couture and the awesome giant actor Ralf Moeller who in the past has played T.V’s Conan and was Hagen in Gladiator (big tall guy). He also starred in The Scorpion King as Thorak, so presumably he will have the same role here.
Highlander and Resident Evil: Extinction director Russell Mulcahy is currently lensing the film out in Cape Town.
If I’m being 100% honest…. bizarrely, incredibly, I think this film will be more enjoyable and less offensive than Rob Cohen’s The Mummy 3. Yeah, seriously.
Give me Mulcahy over Cohen any day.
