So the 11.12.09 story is confirmed (spoiler if you click on that link), and well I don’t know what to think. Bill Murray has told the Mail on Sunday that he wanted it to happen in the first reel but man, I’m kinda hoping it’s a backstory thing and we don’t have to witness it.
I like the character too much, really.

Let me be the first to say that I think killing Pete is a terrible idea. I’ll see the movie no matter what, but I don’t think anyone is going to want to see that turn. I’m sure it’s funny in Bill Murray’s head, but I’m leery that its going to translate well.
Well, I was excited. The dead venkman stuff kinda kills it for me.
Ever since I watched Ghostbusters 2, (which was when it came out), I had always expected that there would be a number 3. in 2009 I decided to type Ghostbusters III in google, and I got some results. I was amazed. now, in 2010, I see this article. It makes me feel sick. I just hope that Bill gets to see these comments. I don’t mean to be nasty about this, It’s just, from a viewer’s point of view, we really do not want to see this. We want it to be like it was in the other films.
