“Become the animal” – WOLVERINE trailer in HD!

Isn’t it funny how the spin-off movie about ONE X-MEN character ends up having about 100 mutant cameo’s?

Enjoy the rather desperate X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE trailer below in HD. I say desperate because after a good start showing Logan’s past, it just grows and grows and grows into a farcical looking cheesy B-Movie with mutants thrown in haphazardly in an effort to say “look we have this guy in this movie too, and OH, wait till you see this guy”.

Still Danny Huston is a great choice for a younger villainous Brian Cox (as Stryker) but Liev Schreiber’s role as Sabertooth is so beneath him. And how much acting will Hugh Jackman be needed for here, or is this just a movie to show off his ripped body and adrenalin face?

Or see it in HD HERE.

Never understood the big thing about Wolverine. Why does everyone like him so much? I thought he was awesome when I was younger, sure, but as I grew older I realized that there are so many much more awesome heroes in the comic world than him. As far as X-Men go, I’d rather see them focus a movie on how the X-Men themselves actually started. I realize that that is what Singer tried to do in the first one, but I’m talking about an actual true to comic origin film. To me it would be much more entertaining than watching Wolverine and Sabertooth growl at each while they try to find out just how many mutants they can put in one movie.

Because everyone likes the bad boy. You could say all the other X-Men films were pretty much Wolverine films too. Fox using this as another way to spin-off more characters.

Matt
Your NON-kiss up to this material is refreshing as most other sites are doing back wheels over this. After the greatness of The Dark Knight its hard for me to get excited over this. Im not that into a character who runs around with claws coming out of his hands, unless its Freddy Krueger. I would be really surprised if this turns out to be a really good film. Im not rooting against it but it seems a litle silly to me.

Well I think the franchise just saddens me a little because it had the world at it’s feet after X-MEN 2.

Not particularly a fan of what has come afterwards, though I still say X-MEN 3 is almost a worthy entry to the series even if it does take many many liberties with the characters and is a pretty shoddy directed movie.

It still had the characters and top notch performances I enjoyed from what went before it.

I think what hurts X3 is that X1 and X2 came out before it. If all the other films were similar in tone, nobody would hate it as much. And the film was pretty much screwed because of the way Rothman handled things. If only he had gone after Singer right after X2, we would’ve had a better X3 and SR probably wouldn’t have happened.

Anyway, I enjoyed X3 for what it was and expected it to turn out the way it did due to how the film was made so fast and with Ratner. Not too sure about Wolverine. The trailer’s cool, but so was X3’s. And there’s somthing funny about that final helicopter scene.

Gotta disageee with you Matt. It LOOKS good. And Liev Schrieber is perfect as Sabertooth. Don’t know why he is isn’t blonde though.
Only problem is it’s a prequel. We already know Stryker and Sabertooth won’t die. Neither will Gambit, Deadpool or anyone else of consequence.
hope the story’s good enough to allow for all the cameos.

I didn’t expect this to reach the lofty heights of Dark Knight, and it won’t. I’m simply hoping it’s as good as it LOOKS.

Sabertooth is definitely very far beneath Liev Schrieber’s acting abilities. Seriously, are you watching this trailer. This looks like the most cliched thing in the history of superhero movies.

@ KC – No way, man. I thought this trailer worked in SPADES. That final line by Wolverine is killer, and some of the stunts/effects look terrific.

My question, though, is this: in the first X-Men movie, Wolverine was in a state of confusion over who he was, and seemed surprised to find other mutants. In fact, the entire movie played like a Wolverine origin story. Now we have this; how is this movie supposed to fit into the canon of the other films? Or does it at all?

All the cameos look really cheap and cheesy. Like that old Fantastic Four movie that never go released; with the cheap and nasty costumes.
