Boogeyman was seriously one of the worst movies I have ever seen in my life. It was the most dumb, mindless and unscary 89 minutes of reel I have ever had the misfortune of watching. For some strange reason, one of my mates thought the movie was good and it actually managed to turn a profit back in 2005.
So because of all those people who went to see it (I saw it on DVD), we are now being treated to a sequel directed by Jeff Betancourt on what will be his feature debut. The guy has worked on many recent horrors, including both remakes of The Grudge and The Exorcism of Emily Rose.
This time, the movie is based on a young women who checks herself into a mental facility in order to overcome her fears of the “boogeyman”. Turns out this wasn’t a good idea, and trying to overcome her demons only made things worse.
Production is set to begin on the movie next month.Well I don’t know about you guys but I just can’t wait for this!
