Nolan has established a solid foundation for an awesome series, but Dark Knight was far too derivative and didnt know what it wanted to be. A new director could be an awesome thing if they get the right person, and let it be someone who doesnt wear their inspirations on their sleeves.

i love nolan for bringing batman back, but honestly think the way forwards is to follow the frank miller storylines.
miller was origionaly considered for the job befor nolan due to his work on the comic. if miller can reinvent batman half as well as his graphic novels did in the 80’s n 90s then he is the man for the job.
we will see a side of batman that has never been put on the screens.

i want him to make just one more movie then they should leave batman alone for a few years.But im willing to wait as long as it takes to get nolan to direct it.

I agree Roman, if not they could give the job to Brett Ratner, that’d get Nolan running back to the franchise screaming “my baby!” like a woman in a De Palma film.

Christopher Nolan just needs to run through the gamut and just grieve. Just give him the space he needs to collect himself, he will re-energise and come to his senses, no worries. Whenever he will be back to Batman is fine with me. He’ll be back!

Every three years is a terrible strategy in terms of maintaining the market strength of a franchise. They need to look at Batman like a band, releasing albums every five or six years (maybe a couple close together and maybe a big gap every now and again) if there’s no over-arching story to fulfil then please don’t over-milk it!
