Bale signs up to three TERMINATOR movies
Similar to his deal with Warner Bros. over the Batman character, “Welsh but I can make myself sound so American… you wouldn’t believe I wasn’t one” actor Christian Bale has signed on to star in all three of the new Terminator movies as rebel leader John Connor.
The series is of course a brand new story arc, though not quite a restart. The film is expected to take place after the events of Terminator 2: Judgement Day where a depleted human race must rise up against the machines.
“he read the script and he loved it, so he’s signed on for all three.”
The film is expected to be - and unless a last minute cameo is arranged, the first without Arnie and as can be seen from that hideous Fox t.v. show The Sarah Connor Chronicles and it’s dismal ratings, his presence was sorely missed.
As I’m assume you are all aware of now (we’ve told you enough times anyway) McG (Charlie’s Angels) will be directing the film which co-stars Sam Worthington, Anton Yelchin, Moon Bloodgood and Common. It’s a tentpole release for next May.
Hungry cast but a director out of his depth? Still fuck it, Bale’s a frikkin’ machine and has picked some real interesting roles post Begins… I just hope he hasn’t seen the dollar signs on this one and he is telling the truth about the quality of the script from the same writers as T3: Rise Against the Machines.
Please just make it good. I know that sounds a stupid thing to say but they have all the chance in the world to make this Terminator series something completely fresh and different to what has gone on before. No retreads, just high quality storytelling please.

I predict that this film will be utter crap! that 3rd movie was appallingly bad and it does not fare well that they have exactaly the same writers and a piss poor director, I think it’is actually a spectacular script or Bale has just gone plain bonkers.

Is there any relation to the TV series?

Bale’s a good actor, but that lisp of his is HORRENDOUS! And I thank Matt for not going on and on about how great Bale is. He is great, to be sure, (much of the promise we’ll never see from Leger is clearly manifest in Bale) but I appreciate not having to see his priases sung every, single time he’seven rumored to be in something.
Bravo.
