AVATAR star going to jail for six months

I’m not sure how this will effect the currently filming Avatar, or how long Michelle Rodriguez will eventually serve of her six months sentence, but the 29 year old actress is going to jail after admitting to violating her probation from several DUI-related charges.
I know that she has a big role in James Cameron’s movie as ex-marine pilot Trudy Chacon, one of the leading parts possibly… so unless she can film her stuff before her sentence kicks in late December, or whether she has done most of her part already I don’t know.
Certainly her quotes to MSNBC hint that the Judge has allowed her to finish anything she needs to do on the movie till late December…
“Let’s just say that my wild days are over… the judge gave an order to go let me go shoot this movie with James Cameron, she was very graceful (sic) to go let me shoot my movie … I have to go turn myself in on Christmas Eve.”
I’m guessing 2007 probably won’t be your favourite Christmas Michelle.
James Cameron will now be struggling to use Rodriguez for re-shoots, which is probably a little bit annoying for him, but there’s not much he can do about it. The film has been given over a year for post-work, as the heavy effects flick won’t be out till May 2009.

This girl has been on self-destruct for a year now. This is part of why she got canned from LOST, drinking and driving and generally acting a fool.
She’s like a latin version of Britney Spears. She was never a good actress, but what little potential she might have had she’s all but pissed away. Lindsay Lohan might -SMALL “might”- have a movie career again, one day, but Rodriguez, is on thin ice now. Hope she wises up.
