Arteton confirmed as the new BOND girl

Confirmation has come from The Hollywood Reporter that rookie 21 year old actress Gemma Arterton has been cast as a Bond girl in the CASINO ROYALE follow-up which is due in theatres by November of this year.

She will play Fields, in what is described by her reps as a ‘nice-sized role’.

Her CV is quite bare so far. She was one of the school girls in the hideous looking ST. TRINIAN’S movie this Christmas and she also has a role in Guy Ritchie’s ROCKNROLLA and will appear in the British comedy 3 AND OUT alongside Mackenzie Crook and Colin Meamy later this year.

An announcement on the female lead BOND girl (i.e., the same sized role as Eva Green in the last movie) is expected in the next fortnight. We heard in the summer the part would likely be played by a Latina actress.

Fingers crossed we might find out what the damn movie is to be called too.
