ANIMALS are scary

Animals are scary.

I never feel comfortable around dogs, cats, snakes, spiders or anything – you just can’t trust them. I hate the unpredictability of them.

And if you come up against one of these, your screwed…

Just the other day – actually I think it was Wednesday – driving to a screening of 27 Dresses (wasn’t bad actually, review later), I heard that a man or woman had been killed by a dog somewhere in the U.K. Every now and again I hear of a dog doing damage to someone, I feel like Captain Hook always cautious of the damn Crocodile. Maybe it’s my fate to run into a vicious dog?

So I’m reading Variety and I found this news a little disturbing…

Columbia Pictures has bought the disaster spec “Animals” from first-time writer and former criminal lawyer Mike Sobel.

Neal Moritz is producing through his Sony-based Original Film shingle.

Contemporary-set story chronicles what happens when all the world’s animals turn on humans and take back the planet.

Could be pretty awesome actually. Just swap Zombies for vicious dogs and tigers and you could be on to a winner here. Though I wonder about how much CGI will needed?

Remember those tigers & deer in the opening of I Am Legend? Dunno if I could stomach that for the whole of the film. Speaking of Legend, after dealing with Aliens, Robots, Unemployment, Giant Mechanical Spiders & more – could Will Smith be perfect for this?

I can see hordes of animal activists spontaneously combusting over this, lol.

This could end up being so bad that it’s good.

I can’t help but see this being the next Snakes On a Plane.
