I just said earlier today I was hoping we would get a trailer for Ridley Scott’s next movie American Gangster soon, and well wouldn’t ya know… it’s just being uploaded online for our viewing pleasure.
This movie looks great. I love the atmosphere, the colour scheme and the potential of a great cat and mouse confrontation film between Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe.
Denzel looks superb in this. Can’t wait to see it.

I saw the trailer for this movie on Entertainment Tonight yesterday. I was kind of expecting a slightly more intelligent rip-off of Scarface, but this movie has a soul all it’s own. GOOD! It looks like someone actually bothered to try to come up with a story for this one.
And for Ridley Scott to direct this (the last “cop” movie he did was Black Rain, I think) is the icing on the cake. I can’t wait to see what he does with an urban gangster tale.
