Alexandre Aja to direct “Gospel”

The French best selling novel The Gospel According to Jimmy is to be adapted to the big screen with Alexandre Aja on board to direct. Aja’s last movie was the remake of Wes Craven’s The Hills Have Eyes.
The novel which is set sometime in the near future follows Jimmy, a pool cleaner who finds out he is a clone of Jesus Christ. Although the novel is French, the movie is to be shot in English language.
Sounds like it could be fun but we might have to wait a while until we get to see it. Aja will first have to finish work on another horror remake Into the Mirror (based on a korean horror) and is also attached to direct The Waiting.
