A Spy Kid to star in Bousman’s Repo! & some pics!

Still fresh from shooting his third and final Saw movie, director Darren Lynn Bousman has already begun work on his next picture, the rock horror musical Repo! The Genetic Opera.
Bloody Disgusting report that Alice Vega who was the young girl in the Spy Kids movies is the first cast in the horror flick.
Bousman spoke to the site…
“I don’t know how different I can get than doing a rock opera – it’s like a side step out of the horror genre.”
“The same crew (as SAW III and Saw IV) doing REPO!… [at least] 95 percent the same crew.”
[The film is] a rock opera, a musical… it will be more violent than SAW in every aspect,” he explains, “It’s ROCK HORROR [PICTURE SHOW] on acid.”
There are 77 songs in REPO - RENT only had 19. [There will be] singing from beginning to end,” he explains, “One song might be 20 seconds, another 14 seconds and then one 5 minutes.”
I’ve found it hard up until now to understand exactly what this movie is about but by reading those above comments and looking at the pictures that Bloody Disgusting have been provided with below from the upcoming graphic novel, it’s obvious where it is heading.
It’s going to the Saw territory as far as gore goes and like he says it’s going to be as bizarre as The Rocky Horror Picture Show, only with younger and more good looking people.
