A Fatale BASTARD & which Nazi screen vet plays a Nazi in Tarantino’s new flick?

A couple of Quentin Tarantino alumni’s it’s been revealed will have roles in INGLORIOUS BASTARDS.

The biggest name probably being Julie Dreyfuss, the actress who played Sofia Fatale in KILL BILL, famous for being more concerned with her phone conversation than taking care of the blood splatted bride, which ended up with her losing an arm…

In BASTARDS, she will play the character of Francesca, who is a translator and collaborator of the Nazi’s. It’s a fairly decent sized part.

Also joining the cast according to the Quentin Tarantino Archives are Omar Doom and Michael Bacall, who both appeared in very small roles in DEATH PROOF.

Another huge name to join the cast is German actor Christian Berkel, the instantly recognisable and intense actor who was stunning in the 2004 German production DOWNFALL, about the last hours of Adolf Hitler’s life.

He also appears in VALKYRIE as a Nazi, MIRACLE AT ST. ANNA and BLACK BOOK. He has seriously made a career out of this kind of role and picture…

Filming officially began on the movie on Thursday, with the spectacular opening scene (one of Tarantino’s best ever written) involving the main antagnoist Col. Hans Landa arriving at the home of a French farmer who he believes is hiding Jews in his home.

An image was snapped from the set as the car pulls up to the house…

We are huge Tarantino fans here at OWF (at least I am anyway) and we have spoke about this project non stop for about 2 years. We loved the script and it should be one of the best movies of next year, to catch up with all the stories CLICK HERE.

We will be covering this film extensively over the following weeks and months.

  1. I’m excited and nervous at the same time, i just hope he still knows what he’s doing, because there’s a lot of hype riding on this one.
