30 Days of Night poster looks great, Halloween’s is shit

Shock Till You Drop have got the first look at the official poster for David Slade’s comic book adaptation of 30 Days of Night and it looks frikkin’ awesome. It’s clear they are going for the 300 crowd with this poster, but it is nostalgic for the graphic novel covers so I wouldn’t say it was a blatant copy of 300’s marketing campaign…

Boy am I cold for this Halloween remake. I just have nothing to say about this insulting poster. Thanks to Bloody Disgusting for the heads-up…

I know which horror movie of the two I’m looking forward too.

  1. Matt I gotta disagree. I like this Holloween thing I’m seeing. Nice and apocalyptic.

I found out the plot behind 30 Days of Night and it’s pretty cool. Alaska has a month of straight night, which attracts vampires who see this as a field day. Now, if only they can execute it correctly.

  2. You like the Halloween poster?

Why has he got his mask off? Why are they trying to humanize this character by doing so… he should be portrayed as “pure evil” with the “blackest eyes” as Donald Pleaseance would say.

I don’t like the glossy feel either. The poster reminds me too much of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake of 2003 with it’s shiny feel. A pure black poster would have done me fine.

Agreed on the 30 Days front. It’s a great plot, tons of potential there.
