102 intense seconds of QUANTUM OF SOLACE!

Awesome…

Though Judi Dench is really rather annoying. When they see how good Michael Caine was as Alfred in BATMAN BEGINS and how much respect he can give his characters with simply saying the right thing, why did they write M. as such an unlikeable bitch for this series

And the first evil villain speech I’ve seen from the villain in this one, Mathieu Amalric. Very good, I like it…

QUANTUM OF SOLACE opens October 31st (U.K.) and November 14th (U.S.)

  1. Judi Dench is one of the finest actresses ever, she is fantastic as M. That ‘no taste’ problem is really getting worse isn’t it!!!

  4. Not only is she a written as a castrating dragon lady who has only the most grudging use for James Bond (…or is it just men in general?)but M as played by Dench is a head-scratching choice for this new 007 series because she was the same character to Pierce Brosnan’s James Bond, which couldn’t be more confusing for the casual audience old enough to have seen those Bond stories. I don’t understand why Judi Dench is in the Daniel Craig series at all. If they were so married to the idea of an older, female M, they could have cast Helen Mirren, Miranda Richardson, one of the Redgraves or any other actress to play the part.

  5. More confusing to the casual audience?????

Only if you have the brain the size of a peanut. She is still playing M because she’s damn good at it. The fact that they have took the films right back to the beginning when Bond got his 00 status hasn’t confused anyone so why should this????
