Darren Lynn Bousman always works one film ahead of us. His latest movie Saw IV opens next week but work is already well under way on his first non-Saw flick, Repo! The Genetic Opera.

The horror opera which looks as wacky as The Rocky Horror Picture Show has a preview reel online and it looks pretty cool. Anthony Stewart Head is clearly having fun in the lead villainous role of the Repo and the I love the blue eyed mask he dons.

There’s a frantic energy about this footage which is just sadly missing from Sweeney Todd.

For those who are dying to see something a little different then this could be it. I hate musicals pretty much by default, but this one looks as if it works.

Look for this in April, when Bousman will be similarly well underway on Scanners…
