This is a really cool scene from Reservoir Dogs that Quentin Tarantino tried to replicate in his latest movie Death Proof but it didn’t quite work for me. If you have seen Grindhouse, the moment he attempts to do this scene is totally wrong and really slows the momentum of the film down. I think it’s the moment when it loses most of it’s audience.
Anyway back to Dogs. I love this opening scene, it’s Tarantino’s writing at it’s best and you totally get what the director is aiming for with this movie. It’s essentially showcasing a group of robbers and what type of thing they talk about when they go to breakfast.
Great scene.
