truman_show_ver1pss.jpgThis week’s great movie scene is from The Truman Show and is the inspiring last eight minutes of what is a remarkable film.

If these moments of Jim Carrey giving you the best performance of his career, working up the steps to a big and scary new world doesn’t move or inspire you then I don’t know what will.

  1. OMG! I agree with you whole heartedly! You could actually FEEL his Frustration as he was feeling his way along that wall! Jim Carrey is an AMAZING actor! I would have included the hallway scene from A Beautiful Mind too! Where you first see Nash from one direction, speaking to, and patting the little girl on the head, and then from the other direction where he’s speaking to, and patting nobody! This is the scene that brought the whole thing home to you! It made you finally believe that none of that stuff ever happened in reality! That it was all in his mind! This has got to be one of the most powerful scenes ever played!
