Transfomers star to lead Thai horror remake

phpThumb.jpgRachael Taylor, who has a role in the Transformers movie, has signed on to lead a remake of the 2004 Thai horror movie Shutter. Japenese director Masayuki Ochiai is attached to direct what will be his first English language movie.

Plot info from Coming Soon

The story revolves around a young American couple on their honeymoon in Tokyo who begin seeing ghostly images in their photos as well as around them.

I’ll be honest, I’ve never heard of Shutter but am I intrigued to see it before the American version ruins it. A look at the DVD cover on the left there screams out The Ring and The Grudge. Yes it looks like it’s another creepy ghost like girl crawler on the loose!

Shutter begins filming in Tokoyo next month and should be in cinema’s before the end of the year.

  1. I’ve actually watched the original Thai version…and I liked it.
I thought it had a better story than the Grudge.
In the Grudge…the ghosts killed everyone who pretty much stepped into the house…no real reason…
In Shutter..there is….things makes more sense.
