spiderman3-blacksuit.jpgOn a purely personal note, 2007 looks to be a great of film for me. There is so many projects that I have a special investment in, whether’s it’s because I grew up with the franchise when I was younger or they are sequels to movie’s I love or because the talent/director involved are people I admire that are trying to make some special.

I’m trimmed the list down to 20, so in order of how hot they are on my geek radar, here are the 20 movies that I can’t wait to see in 2007….

1. Spider-Man 3 - May 4th

3. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest – May 25th

4. 300 - March 30th

5. The Fountain – 26th Jan (UK!!!) Funny, it was on last year’s list aswell!!

6. The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford – Is it ever coming out?

7.  Zodiac - 16th March

8. 3:10 to Yuma - 12th October (but could easily be pushed back)

9. American Gangster – 2nd November

10. Sweeney Todd - December 07

11. 30 Days of Night – 19th October

12. Black Snake Moan - 23rd February US, 18th May UK

13. Ghost Rider - 16th February US, 2nd March UK

18. Hot Fuzz - 16th Feb UK, 13th April US

19. Smokin’ Aces - 12th January

20. TNMT – 30th March

Big movies you might have noticed that are missing….

Transformers, The Simpsons, Shrek the Third, Harry Potter, Rush Hour 3, Beowulf, Stardust, The Bourne Ultimatum, Ocean’s 13, Hitman, Ratatouille

Some of them I will see, but most of them will probably pass me by without giving them a second thought.

Yeah … I missed “Zodiac” and “Sweeney Todd.” I think “Zodiac” will do well; Fincher is now a brand name. “Sweeney Todd” – NO WAY. “Todd” will utterly fail. Burton needs to leave the period pieces and the remakes/reimaginings behind and return to his fanciful, creatively-inspiring earlier days.
