Shawn Levy - a man in demand

shawn_levy_1.jpgIt’s no surprise that Shawn Levy is a man in demand right now. His last movie Night at the Museum has had a two month run in U.S. cinema’s (with no sign yet of it diminishing) and grossed a massive $466 million worldwide at the time of writing.

This success has got him two big future projects. The DC superhero movie The Flash and the comedy movie that see’s the strange combination of Ben Stiller and Tom Cruise team together in The Hardy Boys.

Production Weekly are reporting though that neither of those projects will be his next film. Instead it will be the canine movie Marley & Me, based on columnist John Grogan’s memoir about living with his bad dog for 13 years.

Shooting is set to begin in April.

No suprise he has stacked his future schedule up with movies. I think if he really put his mind to it he could direct 4 movies a year with the amount of attention and care he puts into each movie.
