M.Night Shyamalan’s Green Effect script review

shyamalan.jpgLatino Review have done it again. They have a script review this time of M.Night Shyamalan’s The Green Effect, which we reported recently had been turned down my most of the major studio’s.

This is the plot, taken from Latino Review…

The premise of the film is about a large-scale, cataclysmic environmental crisis that turns into a struggle by mankind to overcome nature.

Imagine if nature was sick of our polluting ways and decided to restore Earth’s natural balance by wiping us out?

Imagine if we were powerless to do anything about it. Scary, huh?

So for the quality of the script….Is it an egotistical nightmare? Has he totally lost the plot like Lady in the Water? Is there an obvious twist and weak story like The Village?

Let’s find out what they thought….

Overall, an interesting spin and original take on the end of the world as we know it movie.

They give it a B+, and they also note that it’s the first ever script they have read that hasn’t been picked up by a studio in some fashion.

Scary the downfall of M.Night when he can’t even get a studio to buy his script these days.

Apparentaly he is in the process of a re-write with the hope someone somewhere will pick it up but Latino Review say it’s more than worthy of being made into a film.

  1. I’d rather read it myself than trust what a so called “not a Shyamalan fan” says. You know too many writers run that line so hopefuls would be sucked into the lie.
