UPDATED:

So here's the image we were waiting for, another nice tease of The Joker. More games have been set up HERE... wonder what we are in for next?

The latest bit of viral marketing for The Dark Knight has left the whole Internet community speculating over just what next tidbit for Christopher Nolan's movie we would see over at WhySo Serious.com when the mysterious candle burned out on 31st October.... aka Halloween.

Well I can tell you the site has been updated but WB aren't giving us anything new that easily. They have given us a puzzle to solve. Here's a message from The Joker...

There are 49 puzzles and clues set around 21 cities in the U.S. and Slash Film speculate that once each puzzle has been solved by a member of the public and a photograph sent to the website to go on the puzzle board below....

... It will no doubt reveal a new message for the film. Remember previously we first saw an image of The Joker this way... so ya just know it's gotta be something big.

History dictates that whenever there is a mystery like this on the web, it is usually solved quite quickly so I would probably ...

UPDATED: So these 14 pages of the Justice League script that are floating about aren't real at all according to the good folks at the UGO Movie Blog. Patrick over at the site has the low-down on the real opening to the movie and it involves the Justice League at funeral (for who? I don't know, but I'd guess Barry Allen's Flash could hit the dirt and Wally West will take over).

My stance is still the same in regards to this film, despite the fact the script extract isn't real - they need to keep make the film lighter and more in the style of the great blockbuster films of the 80s.

Keep you eyes peeled on the UGO Movie Blog, they obviously know a bit more about this film than they're letting on so expect some juicy info down the road.

The emergence of the Justice League movie as a viable summer 2009 tentpole is fascinating to the casual observer and seizure inducing to the hardcore fanboy.

I’ve been tracking the project with a close eye for a while and have ventured over to various message boards across the net to see what’s being said about it… I wish I hadn’t. ...

UPDATED: Matt here,

It's just been confirmed that there will be a prologue for The Dark Knight attached to prints of I Am Legend in IMAX this December.

Which Christmas present I am looking forward to the most. This or that Blade Runner 5 Disc Special Edition DVD. I can't decide!

According to Brazilian site Omelete (via Batman on Film), this December's IMAX release of I Am Legend will feature a special 7 minute sneak preview of Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight. Makes sense since both are Warner Bros releases and some of the viral marketing for Nolan's Batman Begins follow-up has featured the phrase "See you in December".

The preview will allegedly act as a prologue to The Dark Knight and feature Heath Ledger's the Joker prominently. Perhaps it'll be an origin scene of some kind? It'd certainly be a good way to introduce this newer, non-Nicholson version of the character and would mean Nolan wouldn't have to waste time with an origin sequence in the actual film.

I Am Legend hits theatres and IMAX December 14th in the US and January 4th next year over here.

Here's a pic of Nolan directing a possible scene from the preview with a bloody ...

UPDATED: Raimi told MTV Movies Blog that they are pushing through with a script for a remake of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and are currently searching for a director. Raimi will only produce.

It's been five months since Spider-Man 3 opened in May and for the first time in the cinematic series of Marvel's web-slinging character, the fanboy reaction was mixed. After a couple of superhero mis-steps like Superman Returns and Ghost Rider, we had Spidey 3 down as a banker film... one that couldn't possibly fail but of course it did and I've never seen so many people suddenly turn off from a franchise.

I remember when Spider-Man 2 opened and quickly it became talk of Venom or The Lizard as to who would be the villain in Spider-Man 3 and the excitement was pretty much universal, but after the last movie opened, I think a lot of people were happy for the series to take a break.

Infact it seems like more people are excited about Sam Raimi directing something else than coming back for Spider-Man 4. Raimi's spoken on a few things today, one of which was the status of Spider-Man 4 to Superhero Hype...
"Right now, Sony ...

Just a quick update on today's Halo post. Browsing Coming Soon (via Creativity Online), they have found some quotes from Neil Blomkamp, the guy who was suppose to bring HALO to the big screen and they aren't all that encouraging for those hoping the popularity of HALO 3 on the XBOX 360 would re-spark film interest...
The film is entirely dead. In the configuration it was in. Whatever happens with that movie, assuming that movie gets made, will be a totally different configuration. It's not so much me as the entire vessel sank. Basically, it was a combination of; there were two studios involved that weren't getting along in the process of making it, Universal and Fox. That kind of stuff happens, it's a fragile industry. So the film collapsed at the end of last year, and it's been dead, ever since then. I'll be curious to see what happens.
The way I take this in other words, is that if HALO does ever get made... none of the work Blomkamp did on the movie will stay, and neither will he. Sad news. Not neccessarily because Blomkamp isn't behind the film (I mean how could we be sad over that, we have ...

BLOODY DISGUSTING SAY THE STORY IS FALSE. I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN WHEN IT SAID THE WEINSTEIN COMPANY BLOG, AND I HAD NEVER HEARD OF IT.

SCREAM 4 HAS NOT BEEN GREENLIT AND IT'S NOT IN DEVELOPMENT.
I love all three SCREAM movies in very different ways.

The first film in 1996 hit me at a perfect time when I was really going through an 80's horror fest. The films of Wes Craven, John Carpenter and the FRIDAY THE 13th movies were on constant repeat on my VHS but then came SCREAM, a movie where characters know about horror movies. It was absolutely fascinating. They knew all the rules and almost could sense they were in a horror movie, which made the scares even more frightening and real.

SCREAM 2 I like too. It's not quite as good as the original but the writing in that film is superb and how they manage to incorporate so many interesting characters should be commended. SCREAM 3, easily the weakest of the three but what I remember the most about it was just how dark and cynical the movie was. It was easily the meanest of the three and it was pretty cool to seem them bring ...
