Again, it's hard to go indepth on this without bringing up spoilers but for those who have read the script, you will know what the "film within the film" reference means for INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS.

Ah, I guess its not a spoiler, I will tell you anyway. In Tarantino's film, Frederick Zoller, one of the Nazi's in the movie who will be played by Daniel Bruhl, is actually on his way to becoming a film star and has led several movies for the propaganda film-maker Joseph Goebells, including one as a Nazi sniper on a suicide mission. Now in INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS, we get to see some of his work from this "film" during scenes in a movie theatre.

Now it turns out Quentin Tarantino didn't just hire Eli Roth for his acting skills (he is playing the very significant part of "The Bear Jew") but he also hired him for his directing talents. It would seem Roth has been shooting this segment over the last few weeks in Germany with Bruhl and German extra's and this explains the absence of Tarantino from much of the spy set photo's that have leaked online.

Well that is until now, when someone has snapped Tarantino showing ...

Belga.de have gotten their hands on the first look image of the bloodthirsty psycho and ex-German soldier Hugo Stiglitz from INGLORIOUS BASTERDS, the character who joins Lt. Aldo Raine's (Brad Pitt's) band of Nazi killing rebels.

The part is played by German actor Til Schweiger.

We have been privileged with the amount of coverage for the film recently, though don't expect too many more images like this in the near future. The very same site who snapped the image have posted several photo's of the mass security from the film set as Universal attempt to crack down on the frequent leaks over the last few days.

Such leaks include the recent image of lead actor Brad Pitt in full gear.

Though the security can't do too much when the filming has moved locations. Quentin Tarantino Archives have posted a video a spy snapped from the empty farmhouse which Quentin used to film what will be a memorable opening scene.

Amusingly, QTA have also heard that security were "using water cannons to fend of curious papparazzi" on the set of the film recently but, as of today at least, the leaks keep on coming.

Quentin Tarantino might be coming closer to filling that big German role in his World War II epic Inglorious Bastards, the role which Leonardo DiCaprio was to be offered until the director decided he wanted an actual German actor to play the part.

The Guardian say that 30 year old Daniel Bruhl (The Bourne Ultimatum) and 45 year old veteran Til Schweiger (King Arthur, Lara Croft 2) have met with Quentin about the role.

Bruhl...

Schweiger...

Meanwhile Tobia Kneibe a German film critic said after reading the script (which can you believe is still on my desk, left unread after about eight weeks?)...
"This is pop culture meets Nazi Germany and the Holocaust with an unprecedented force,"
Shooting is set to begin at Potsdam Babelsberg studios west of Berlin on October 13.
