I love the Razzies. Every year they inform us of the absolute worst in film and they have never given me any reason to disagree with them.

They always seem to pick a choice which represents the right mood of the year and I'd argue their battering average is far sharper and more relevant than the Academy Awards.

Well I say they pick the right choices, I actually avoided Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen so I can't confirm or deny if it is deserving, but it certainly feels right to me. I find it fairly hilarious that the movie picked up the big awards for Worst Picture, Worst Director and Worst Screenplay. A movie we shouldn't forget that made $836 million worldwide and is the 10th Highest Grossing Picture in the U.S. of all time.

Congrats go to Sandra Bullock who was game enough to pick up her award for Worst Actress and Worst Screen Couple (shared with Bradley Cooper) for All About Steve. She took it with good humour and grace, I respect that. Amazingly, she is almost guaranteed to win Best Actress for her good but not all that spectacular performance in The Blind Side at the Oscars in a few ...

She turned 45 earlier this year but looks as great as ever.

She is still clearly confident in her own skin (remember that nude on nude scene with a so much younger Ryan Reynolds in The Proposal; which other 45 year old woman would dare to do that?) and is a charismatic actress, whose persona and screen presence I enjoy watching as much as I ever did.

And she's still just about the only consistent female box office draw in Hollywood today.
Sandra Bullock in The Blind Side, an outside contender
for an Oscar nomination for Best Female Actress.
I know I've given Sandra Bullock a lot of flack over the years for her insistence on falling back to the romantic comedy time and time again despite her growing a little too old for them now but I genuinely thought The Proposal was her at the most agreeable she's been in years, and although All About Steve (15.01.10 in the U.K.) looks like a mis-step, we all know it's gonna make money.

Bullock is box office, she never fails.

Variety say her latest role in The Blind Slide, actually not a rom-com but an uplifting family "message" movie sporting drama, led by a woman, has now grossed ...

OWF writer Simon Gallagher insists that when I mention Sir. Ben Kingsley's name, it must have his title attached at the beginning. Which is fine by me, if any thesp has deserved such a title it is he and his work in ELEGY this year and from what I hear his performance in THE WACKNESS are prime examples of how he is still one of the greatest working actors in Hollywood today.

And he's not afraid to do populist movies either. He's already shot his villain part in the massive Disney blockbuster PRINCE OF PERSIA and now comes word that Sylvester Stallone expects to get Kingsley involved in THE EXPENDABLES, his "home coming of tough guys" war picture. You can see Stallone make the announcement at Extra TV.

Stallone also confirmed the casting of Forest Whitaker which was also confirmed by the trades, though it would appear Sandra Bullock won't be in the film. A spokeswoman for Nu Image/Millenium Films said it was “merely wishful thinking for fans.”

Moviehole expect Kingsley to play the character of Church...
Church is the man that hires the ‘Expendables’ (run by ‘Barney’ and ‘Christmas’, assumingly the characters played by Stallone and Statham, respectively) to go after General Garza ...

Sylvester Stallone is chasing his DEMOLITION MAN co-star Sandra Bullock for his upcoming ensemble war picture THE EXPENDABLES according to JoBlo. They don't cite their sources but it's a rumor that isn't hard to believe given the talent Stallone has attempted to put together here.

Bullock is being lined up to play a government agent who is paired up with Forest Whitaker (who presumably isn't playing the South American dictator as I previously speculated) on the hunt for Stallone's crew of hired guns.

Stallone, Dolph Lundgren, Jet Li, Jason Statham and Randy Corture also star in what is described as "a home coming of tough guys" and is seen as Stallone's answer to Quentin Tarantino's snub for INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS, of which Stallone was frequently inviting a firm acting offer.

Bullock who for years I've criticised for playing it "safe" with rom-com after rom-com, who be making a bold and welcomed move forward if she agrees to star in this one. Her upcoming movies THE PROPOSAL and ALL ABOUT STEVE, are movies she should have moved away from a long time ago.

One of the exciting things about this project is seeing what actors Stallone has been chasing. And making this even more enticing this ...
