Who is back for TRANSFORMERS 2?

Easier on the eye than the big clunky robots from Michael Bay’s ridiculous Transformers movie - the ultra hot Megan Fox has agreed to return for the sequel according to The Hollywood Reporter.

As has Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson and remarkably John Turturro, whose supporting role in the last film is one of the strangest I think I’ve ever seen from a tentpole studio release.

Michael Bay returns to the helm working on a script once again by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and now Ehren Kruger (The Ring) who has boarded the writing team for this sequel due out in June 2009.

Isabella Lucas and Rainn Wilson are both newcomers to the series which now see’s Shia LaBeouf in college.

Wanna see the whole of JENNIFER’S BODY?

I’ve had the script for Jennifer’s Body lying on my “to read” pile for about two months now but finding time to pick it up and flick through the damn thing has been kinda hard, despite it being one of my most anticipated horror movies in production right now.

I know that says a lot about the genre when a Megan Fox led movie is one horror I can’t wait to see but let’s not forget Oscar winner Diablo Cody’s script for Juno was so strong and brilliant that I’m interested as hell to see how she has applied herself here. Will her whimsy dialogue go stale quickly or is she going to be around for a long time?

The movie is an all out gore fest about a cheerleader who becomes possessed by a demon and turns into a serial killer.

Today thanks to some lucky spies at The Bad & Ugly, we got our first totally NSFW look at the movie. There is certainly nothing horrific about Megan Fox just yet…

PICS REMOVED BY THE REQUEST OF 20th CENTURY FOX!!!

Wow.

There sure ain’t no way I’m missing that movie now!

Released sometime in 2009, Jennifer’s Body will be directed by Karyn Kusama (Girlfight, Aeon Flux) and co-stars Adam Brody, Amanda Seyfried (Mamma Mia), Johnny Simmons (Evan Almighty) and once again has J.K. Simmons reading Codey’s lines as a supporting player.

This unfortunate set image leak may very well end up being the best thing that happened to the movie’s early publicity.

Jonah Hill NOT in TRANSFORMERS 2

EW, the very source who broke the story of talks between actor Jonah Hill and Paramount over a sidekick role in the Transformers sequel - are today also the place to tell us that those talks broke down and he won’t be in the final feature after all.

No word has been given as to why. Maybe they didn’t offer him enough, the role wasn’t big enough or whatever.

But the truth is he won’t be in the picture.

Word is though he will cameo in the Night at the Museum sequel due out next year May which will just once again confirm to my girlfriend that yes indeed, Jonah Hill seems to just float in and out of movies without much fanfare.

Transformers 2 is expected to begin shooting soon (if it hasn’t already) once again under the direction of Michael Bay - with Shia LaBeouf and the majority of the previous cast (no word on Megan Fox yet though) back and so far only Aussie hottie Teresa Palmer as a newcomer.

“The sexiest woman in the world” now has a hot rival in TRANSFORMERS 2!

Now that the Justice League actors have been let go for the second and likely final time, it’s now up to them to find work elsewhere. Australian actress Teresa Palmer looks to have been the first one out of the blocks to find a job and it will likely be a well paid one.

According to The Courier Mail, she is likely to be the second new face in Transformers 2 after it was revealed yesterday that Jonah Hill was in final talks for the picture.

Palmer made her debut in a brief cameo for the 2005 horror Wolf Creek, before gaining a substantial role in The Grudge 2 and then winning some Indie credit from stealing the limelight away from Daniel Radcliffe in December Boys.

Palmer’s big break looked set in stone when she was cast for the role of Talia Al Ghul in Justice League but that movie of course has died a slow death, however she should still get that breakthrough next summer… just this time in a movie about robots.

I wonder if she will be replacing Megan Fox’s character - or whether the movie will be big enough for both beauties?

Justin Marks writing HACK/SLASH

Justin Marks, the big name screenwriter of the upcoming adaptations of 80’s pop culture with Voltron, Masters of the Universe, Street Fighter and his “Green Arrow in Prison” movie Super Max - has been hired for more work says Variety.

Marks will pen the script for Rogue Pictures adaptation of the Devil’s Due Publishing comic Hack/Slash, which is rumored to star Megan Fox in the lead role as a young woman who travels the country and takes on homicidal manics and serial killers along the way.

It’s described as a horror/action comedy.

The plot sounds a little dumb if I’m being honest - a little too “comic guy fanboy” for seeing a half naked serial killing chick travelling around the country.

And speaking of Marks - let’s hope he’s as good as the projects on his slate would suggest. Our first glimpse at his final work will be on Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li when it opens sometime next year.
