Variety say Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis have all officially signed on for the SEX AND THE CITY sequel.

Another nice pay day for the foursome who would struggle to get meaningful work elsewhere. The original made a whopping $152 million domestic and another $260 million worldwide.

Gotta milk the sequels whilst the girls are still moderately hot.

Writer/director Michael Patrick King has also agreed on a return.

New Line are fast tracking the project and it should shoot later this year for a release next Summer.

And yes.. the only reason I'm writing this is so I can link to Ray's now legendary review of SEX AND THE CITY: THE MOVIE!!!!

On February 4th in Berlin, Roman Polanski will begin filming his first movie since his adaptation of OLIVER TWIST in 2005.

The movie will be THE GHOST, an adaptation of Robert Harris' much lauded political thriller revolving around a former Tony Blair-esque British prime minister who’s holed up on an island writing his memoirs when his aide drowns, triggering political and sexual intrigue.

Pierce Brosnan, having a pretty successful post-BOND career so far will play the PM. Ewan McGregor will play the ghost writer (previously it was set to be Nicolas Cage but he has proven to be too busy).

Kim Cattrall, Olivia Williams, Tom Wilkinson and John Belushi round out what is a very intriguing cast according to Variety.

Summit Entertainment, who made a fortune on the TWILIGHT movie, have invested their new found funding wisely and are banking on Polanski to deliver.

The book is on my MUST READ pile, I'm desperate to get into it before this movie hits. Love Polanski, a contemporary thriller from him is very exciting indeed.

No this is not a joke post where I'm about to show you a Youtube mash up of Steve Guttenberg being, well Steve Guttenberg.

This is actually a serious news post. I think.

Guttenberg this week has told the British Press that he is in talks for a new POLICE ACADEMY movie AND a third movie in the THREE MEN AND A... franchise.

Guttenberg has being doing Pantomine in the U.K. so the precedent for a crap joke may have played it's part in these comments but well, he did say these things.

To The Sun regarding new POLICE ACADEMY...
“We are doing a new movie and it is going to be great fun," he said. "A script is being written and so far it is really great, everyone from the original movies who is still around will return.”

“I know Kim and Sharon have been asked but they haven’t said yes yet. It would be really great to have them onboard.”
Kim being Kim Cattrall who appeared in the very first movie and Sharon being Sharon Stone, who will star in anything these days. Ya see, this just sounds like he is taking the piss to see how much a Guttenberg return would spark up in ...

[rating:1]

First of all, I am not a fan of the long-running HBO series. I have never watched an episode in my life. I did this for you, dear readers. I watched SEX AND THE CITY: THE MOVIE for you, which is akin to taking a bullet for someone.

The movie apparently picks up three years after the end of the series. The four girls in question - Carrie (SARAH JESSICA PARKER), Samantha (KIM CATTRALL), Charlotte (KRISTIN DAVIS), and Miranda (CYNTHIA NIXON) - have all found love and moved into new phases of their lives. Then, various troubles befall them all, and they cope with the help of one another ... and lots of expensive clothes and other materialistic pursuits.

I use the word "trouble" loosely in reference to this movie, since the problems encountered by these ...
