IMP Awards have released two new international posters for the video game adaptation Max Payne, starring Mark Wahlberg as the broken New York DEA agent on the run from the police as he hunts out the killer of his family.

Hack director John Moore (The Omen remake, Flight of the Phoenix remake, Behind Enemy Lines) directed the picture due out on October 17th (US) and November 14th (UK).

Mila Kunis, Beau Bridges, Ludacris and even Chris O'Donnell co-star in what looks to be this year's Hitman.

Opening October 17th is Max Payne, the latest attempt to turn a pretty popular video game into a financially successful franchise.

Only Resident Evil has had much success at that task this century.

Mark Wahlberg stars after the worst turn in his career in The Happening plays the titular cop who is haunted by the tragic loss of his family and has little regard for rules as he investigates a series of mysterious murders. The cute Mila Kunis co-stars for 20th Century Fox...

Hack director John Moore (The Omen, Behind Enemy Lines) directed the movie which might as well be called "this year's Hitman".

The trailer for Max Payne is online, the video game adaptation that I have long since documented would probably end up being "the next Hitman" because of it's chosen director John Moore (Behind Enemy Lines, The Omen remake) and one note source material.

Whether it's a good thing or note, that one note trait of the "bullet time" sequence has made itself into the first trailer...

mmm... at times it looks like you could replace Mark Wahlberg with Steven Seagal and it would be going STV.
At other times, it actually looks pretty inventive and some original shots, something that I've never seen in a frame of Moore's previous work.
The movie opens in October. With The Happening and The Omen... the last two movies from both guys respectively, they have a lot of forgiving to do.

HACK director John Moore who has already helmed remakes to The Omen and Flight of the Phoenix, has according to Variety set plans to redo the 1978 Peter Hyams directed conspiracy thriller Capricorn One over at New Regency.

The original movie was about a fictional first manned mission to Mars which was actually just a hoax on the public as the astronauts really went to a film studio in the desert as the NASA ship wasn't 100% safe to fly off to the planet, and they didn't want to inform the taxpayers about their failures.

The astronauts are under pressure on the set to make the landing as believable as possible, whilst Elliott Gould plays the journalist who has a sneaking suspicion that something fishy is going down.

Peter Buchman, who wrote Steven Soderbergh's two-part Che Guevara biopic has penned the screenplay.

Such a pointless remake but doesn't that sum up Moore's whole filmography so far?
He is next directing Max Payne with Mark Wahlberg which is due out in October. Can't say I'm looking forward to that either.

Chris O'Donnell, rarely seen on the big screen this century has managed to land himself a role in Max Payne says EW.

The former Dick Grayson was last seen in a notable film role eight years ago in Vertical Limit. Oh, how we haven't missed you Chris...

Max Payne is of course the adaptation of the Rockstar Video Game known by most as that "Matrix bullet time game". You just know they are going to put that in the film don't ya?

Mark Wahlberg stars as the cop who most overcome his grief for his dead family by tracking down the instigator of a new series of murders. Mila Kunis plays a similiarly distraught female sidekick and EW say O'Donnell will play an executive.

Behind Enemy Lines director John Moore is currently out filming in Toronto from a script by newcomer Beau Thorn.

Really weak supporting cast - if I've being blunt.

The very sexy Mila Kunis, who personally I can only remember from leading the insulting straight to video American Psycho II: All American Hero has joined the already cast lead Mark Wahlberg in the movie adaptation of the Rockstar video game Max Payne.

The 25 year old actress will be better known to Family Guy fans as the voice of Meg Griffin, or to viewers of That 70's Show who saw her play Jackie Burhart for nearly 200 episodes.

She also has a role in the upcoming Forgetting Sarah Marshall...

In Max Payne she will play an assassin who teams up with Payne to avenge her sisters death. Payne himself is a cop haunted by the tragic loss of his family and gets tangled into a web of a murderous conspiracy.

John Moore, who may only be two steps down from Brett Ratner in the vacant movie stakes with Behind Enemy Lines and remakes to Flight of the Phoenix and The Omen on his CV, will direct Payne as his next feature.

Don't know about this one guys. I do like Wahlberg and his casting was pretty sweet (if a little predictable) but with boring John Moore helming and the casting of this innocent looking ...
